The Challenge: Great Leads, Lost Between Two Systems
For this Quebec dealership group, Activix was already the heart of the sales process. Every web lead, test drive and follow-up lived there. The phones were a different story. They ran on an aging on-premise system at each of the group’s [three] rooftops, with no connection to the CRM.
On the sales floor, that gap was felt every day. When a customer called, the rep picking up had no idea who was on the line, which vehicle they were interested in or who they had already spoken to. After the call, logging it in Activix meant typing it in by hand. On a busy Saturday that rarely happened, and roughly [two thirds] of phone conversations never made it into the CRM. Sales managers had no recordings to coach from, so when a customer said they’d been promised a certain price on the phone, nobody could check.
For IT, the setup was a constant headache. Three locations meant three separate systems, several vendors and a service call for every change. Nobody owned support after hours.
For ownership, the cost was harder to see but more serious. The group was investing heavily in advertising to make the phone ring, yet phone leads, often the most motivated buyers, were close to invisible in reporting. There was no reliable way to tie a call to a sale.
The Solution: One Platform, Fully Connected to Activix
The group chose Voysis to replace its legacy phones with VoysisOne Cloud Phone, built on Cisco Webex, and to turn on VoysisOne’s native Activix integration across all three rooftops.
The change was felt from the first ring. When a customer calls, their Activix file now opens on the rep’s screen before they answer. The rep knows the customer’s name, the vehicle they’re looking at, where the deal stands and who their assigned salesperson is. Instead of starting with “Who am I speaking with?”, the conversation starts where the last one ended.
Once the call is over, there’s nothing to type. Every inbound and outbound call is logged automatically to the right lead in Activix, with date, duration and user. Calls are recorded and attached to the customer file, so managers can coach from real conversations and settle disagreements in minutes rather than going on memory.
For the BDC, click-to-call changed the pace of the day. Agents now dial directly from Activix with one click, with no copying numbers and no misdials. Follow-up queues that used to drag on through the afternoon are now cleared before lunch.
Voysis managed the whole transition, including number porting, Activix configuration, training and cutover. All three rooftops went live in [three weeks] with no downtime on the sales floor.
The Results: More Appointments, Less Guesswork
Within 90 days, the impact showed up where it matters most: phone-sourced appointments rose 38%, from about 210 to 290 a month.
Several factors drove that growth. Because every call now lands in Activix, no lead slips through the cracks, and logging went from roughly 35% of calls to 100%. Smart routing and overflow to the BDC brought missed sales calls down from 22% to 6%. And with click-to-call removing 25+ minutes of manual dialling per agent per day, BDC agents went from about 60 to 85 outbound calls daily, reaching more customers faster than ever before.
The IT team got its time back. Three separate phone systems became one cloud platform, managed from a single dashboard. Adding a new salesperson or moving an extension now takes minutes, and the team has one partner to call, with bilingual Voysis support available 24/7.
For ownership, the numbers added up quickly. Retiring on-premise hardware and maintenance contracts cut telecom costs by about 30%. More importantly, phone activity is now fully visible in Activix, so leadership can finally see which campaigns make the phone ring and which calls turn into sales.
Why the Group Chose Voysis
The deciding factor was simple: the group wanted its phones and its CRM to work as one, without a patchwork of connectors. VoysisOne’s native Activix integration delivered exactly that, on Cisco infrastructure built for reliability.
Just as important was the team behind it. Voysis is a Quebec company and a Cisco Elite Partner, with more than 18 years of experience, over 500 clients worldwide and a 94% customer satisfaction rate. Cisco’s collaboration solutions have delivered up to 304% ROI over three years in Forrester’s Total Economic Impact study. For a dealership group that needed a partner who understands both automotive retail and enterprise telecom, and who can support them in French and English, the choice was clear.
What’s Next
Building on these results, the group is now piloting the VoysisOne AI Agent to answer after-hours service calls and book appointments automatically. They’re also rolling out VoysisOne SMS to text back missed calls instantly, so even the calls nobody can pick up still become conversations.
